Wild Lettuce
Wild Lettuce, Lactuca virosa, is an herbaceous biennial plant. It can grow up to 6 feet tall and has bright green leaves on a green stalk. When the plant is scratched or broken, it secretes a milky white sap. It was often called “poor man’s opium” or “opium lettuce” due to it’s pain relieving qualities.

Beneficial Qualities:
