Coreopsis

Coreopsis tinctoria, Plains coreopsis, is commonly called “tickseed”. This wildflower is an annual plant that blooms from early summer to the first frost. Both the roots and aerial tops have medicinal uses. The small flowers are yellow with a maroon center.
